Rob E McQuay

AIA, NCARB

Founder Emeritus

Todd started working with Rob in 1997 as a draftsman while he continued working on his degree. In 2002, he graduated from the University of Utah with a Masters in Architecture. After a brief hiatus, he joined Rob in southern Utah and has been alongside him ever since.

During the past 19 years, he has designed numerous high-end custom residential projects in the St. George and surrounding areas. Todd is honored to have taken over the business upon Rob's retirement and is excited to be continuing the legacy they created together. When not at work, Todd can be found exploring trails of red rock, finding petroglyphs, making delicious food, fishing, or playing games with his family.

Nate brings over 22 years of professional custom residential design experience to the McQuay Architects team. After attending Utah Valley University’s Architectural Drafting & Design program from 1997 to 1999, he pursued independent work as a free-lance residential designer of architecture until joining the McQuay team in early 2005. Over the past 18 years he has contributed exceptional drafting and design production skills and now leads in project design management while excelling in client relations and service. Nate brings his valued passion and detailed dedication to the design needs of our clients’ residential dreams and investments. Beyond his love for this work, he enjoys international travel, DJ music festivals and its community, playing the piano, spending time with family & friends, and is a shameless gourmand of fine-dining with service experience in the restaurant industry.

Erik experience in residential drafting and design, combined with his BFA in Interior/Architectural Design, makes him well-equipped to provide high-quality design services to his clients. His 13 years of experience as a design associate at McQuay Architects further demonstrate his expertise and dedication to his craft. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Erik is likely to have a deep understanding of the design process, as well as the technical skills necessary to bring his ideas to life.

Derek is a skilled draftsman with 6+ years of experience in the architecture field. He is known for his attention to detail in creating accurate construction drawings. Derek takes great pride in his work and feels fortunate to be part of a team that creates stunning architectural designs. When he is not working, Derek enjoys participating in outdoor sports, attending live music events, and exploring new destinations through travel.

Tyler was born and raised in St. George, Utah. He attended Dixie Technical College where he received a certificate degree in architectural drafting and design. He loves Southern Utah and enjoys spending his time outdoors with his family.

Sydney has her BA  in Theatre & Creative Writing from Utah Tech University. She enjoys being in the creative field, and also works on different performing arts events. She will often be found singing with her husband, in the theatre, or curling up on the couch with a good book.

Elizabeth is excited to support her husband in his new adventure of owning a business and enjoys being behind the scenes. Together, they have two daughers and a son-in-law. In her free time, Elizabeth loves to be outdoors, exploring local nature, and traveling.

A 42 year career has headed more than 1,000 projects, including hotels, restaurants, lodges, recreational facilities, auto dealerships, residential and multi-family complexes, community master planning, office buildings, banks, movie theaters, medical and educational facilities. More recently, Rob has been creating unique Architecture for exclusive desert and mountain residential and resort properties, boasting several multi-million dollar luxury Parade homes and other published works.
